40/3.5 Kilfitt Makro-Kilar D for Exakta

The Makro Kilar D with box and plastic bubble
Heinz Kilfitt made a name for himself by designing the original
Robot camera, selling the design to Berning. Kilfitt designed some of the early
telephoto lenses with interchangeable mounts, as well as a line of macro lenses.
The 40mm macro lenses had fixed mounts as they were too short to have
interchangeable mounts, and can be found mounted in Universal thread mount and
Alpa, in addition to Exakta. They were introduced in the mid-1950s.
